1. Data We Collect

BillCat is a local desktop application. All invoice data, customer information, and product details are stored locally on your Mac using SQLite. We do not collect or transmit personal data to our servers.

2. Cloud Sync (Optional)

If you enable cloud sync, invoice records are stored in Supabase (our cloud backend) associated with your account. This allows multi-device access and backup. You can disable sync at any time in Settings.

3. Invoice Hosting

When you send a WhatsApp bill, BillCat generates a hosted invoice page stored in our Supabase storage bucket. This page is publicly accessible via its unique URL (billcat.in/invoice/...). It contains:

Store name, phone, and address
Customer name and phone number
Invoice items, amounts, and dates

These pages are used to allow your customers to view and download their bill. They are not indexed by search engines and are only accessible via the unique URL.

4. WhatsApp

BillCat uses WhatsApp Web running in a local background browser session on your Mac. We do not have access to your WhatsApp account, messages, or contacts. All WhatsApp automation happens locally on your device.

5. No Advertising

We do not use advertising networks, analytics trackers, or sell any data to third parties.
